Introducing Visit Time by WPKitchen

Connecting Pakistan with the Global WordPress Community

Every ecosystem grows through connection. In the world of WordPress, progress has never depended on code alone—it happens when people meet, share, and build together across borders.

WPKitchen takes a human-first approach to community building by connecting people through food, workspaces, and meetups.

In Pakistan, that growth is already underway.

Thousands of freelancers, developers, designers, and agencies work with WordPress every day. They build for global clients, contribute to the ecosystem, and power digital services worldwide. Yet much of this work happens in isolation, with limited direct interaction with global WordPress leadership.

Visit Time by WPKitchen is an effort to bridge that gap.

What is Visit Time?

Visit Time is a curated 3-day ecosystem immersion program designed to host international WordPress leaders, contributors, product builders, and teams in Pakistan.

The idea is simple:
If local freelancers cannot always travel the world, we bring the world closer to them.

Through Visit Time, we create structured, human-first experiences that connect visiting guests with Pakistan’s WordPress ecosystem—freelancers, students, and founders—through meaningful, on-ground engagement.

This is not a conference.
This is not a tour.
This is an ecosystem immersion focused on real people and real conversations.

Why Pakistan?

Pakistan has a large and fast-growing freelance workforce contributing significantly to the global digital services economy. A major part of this ecosystem works within WordPress—building websites, products, and services for clients around the world.

According to industry reports, Pakistan consistently ranks among the top freelance markets globally, with millions of professionals contributing to software development, design, and digital services.

Despite this scale:

  • Many contributors have never directly interacted with global WordPress leadership
  • Local communities are still developing structured offline ecosystems
  • Strong talent exists, but visibility and connection remain limited

Visit Time creates a bridge between global experience and local potential.

What Happens During Visit Time?

Each Visit Time experience is thoughtfully designed over three days to provide a balanced and human-first view of the ecosystem.

Day 1 — Freelancers & Community

A focused freelancers meetup brings together developers, designers, and independent professionals. The goal is open conversation—sharing experiences, challenges, and opportunities in a relaxed setting, followed by informal networking over dinner.

Day 2 — Campus Students

Guests engage with students through campus sessions, offering insight into how the next generation is discovering WordPress, building digital skills, and preparing for global opportunities—complemented by informal chai conversations.

Day 3 — Founders & Ecosystem Leaders

A small, curated roundtable with founders and agency leaders creates space for deeper discussions around growth, challenges, and collaboration within the WordPress ecosystem. The day concludes with a reflection session on key learnings and future opportunities.

Across all three days

Guests also experience the culture of Faisalabad through local food, short city visits, and informal interactions.

Visit Time focuses on people, not tourism—shared meals, tea conversations, and small group discussions play a central role, often creating the most meaningful connections.

All visits are supported with professional local coordination, including comfortable transport, venue management, and coordination support with relevant local authorities if required, ensuring a smooth and secure experience for guests.

A Human-First Experience

Visit Time is designed around people, not presentations.

  • Small, curated groups instead of large crowds
  • Conversations instead of speeches
  • Real environments instead of staged setups

Guests are not treated as speakers—they are welcomed as participants in a shared ecosystem.

What Visiting Guests Gain

For international visitors, Visit Time offers:

  • Direct access to a large and growing WordPress talent pool
  • Ground-level insight into how WordPress is used in emerging markets
  • Opportunities to discover contributors, collaborators, and future team members
  • A deeper understanding of the challenges and realities faced by freelancers

It is an opportunity to see WordPress not just as a platform, but as a global livelihood system.

What Pakistan Gains

For the local community, the impact is equally meaningful:

  • Exposure to global perspectives and leadership
  • Inspiration for freelancers and students
  • Stronger community culture and collaboration
  • Increased visibility for local talent and companies

For many, this may be the first opportunity to meet global WordPress leaders and contributors from the broader ecosystem in person.

Powered by WPKitchen

WPKitchen supports freelancers in practical, everyday ways—through food, meetups, and workspaces.

Programs like:

  • Lunch Time (subsidized meals)
  • Meet Time (monthly meetups)
  • Work Time (subsidized workspace)

are built around one idea: making freelancing more sustainable and less isolated.

Visit Time extends this vision globally—connecting local communities with international leaders.

Sponsorship & Community Support

Visit Time is a community-driven initiative supported through flexible sponsorships.

Global partners may support travel and participation, while local partners help with on-ground execution such as accommodation, meals, logistics, and community events.

We offer flexible sponsorship opportunities ranging from community support contributions to full 3-day program sponsorship. Detailed sponsorship options can be shared with interested partners.

An Open Invitation

Visit Time is open to all global WordPress leaders, contributors, and teams who want to experience Pakistan beyond headlines and statistics.

Come meet the people behind the screens.
Come see the ecosystem in its real environment.
Come be part of a growing community.

Because sometimes, a single visit can build connections that last for years.

The Beginning

Every meaningful initiative starts small.

Visit Time begins with conversations, shared meals, and a simple intention—to connect.

Over time, it can grow into something much bigger:
A bridge between Pakistan and the global WordPress ecosystem, built one visit at a time.

With WordCamp Asia taking place in the region this April 2026, Visit Time opens a timely opportunity for global WordPress leaders to extend their journey and experience Pakistan’s growing ecosystem.

We warmly welcome visiting contributors and teams to connect with our community and experience Faisalabad’s grassroots WordPress culture firsthand.
