At WPKitchen, we’re excited to launch Tea Time — a small, unofficial giveaway linked to WordCamp US 2025. This initiative is designed to spark meaningful connections between attendees and those who wish they could be there.
We’re giving away 100 cups of tea to WordPress professionals in Pakistan who won’t be attending the event. Each cup will be sponsored and selected by someone who is attending, creating a shared experience across continents.
This is just the beginning of a broader series where we’ll highlight WordCamps and WordPress meetups through thoughtful, tea-powered gestures — with WPKitchen as the bridge.
A cup of tea may seem ordinary. But in that one cup lies comfort, culture, conversation—and connection.
We believe this initiative has the power to bring WordPress professionals together, across borders, over something humble yet deeply human.
Here’s how it works:
We’re gathering names of interested participants (or as we like to call them, parTEAcipants 😊) through a LinkedIn poll and comments like “#addme.” These names are being featured on a dedicated page on our website — inspired by the official WordCamp attendees page.
Note: If the LinkedIn poll has expired, you can still participate! Just leave a comment on the same post with the hashtag #addme and we’ll include you in the list of parTEAcipants. ☕✨
🔗 LINKEDIN POST FOR THE PARTICIPATION IN TEA TIME
We’ll invite our honorary guests to choose an available number or name (e.g., #07) from the Tea Time participants list below and reply on X, LinkedIn, or privately. We’ll then serve tea to the selected winner!
🔗 TEA TIME #001 — PAR’TEA’CIPANTS
Once attendees choose their winners, we’ll reach out to the selected participants, send the sponsored funds, and invite them to enjoy a cup of tea — then share a photo to capture the moment.
🎉 Tea Time kicked off on July 26, 2025, exactly one month before WordCamp US 2025! Two lucky winners have already been served. Two cups down, 98 to go. Join the fun!
All selected winners, sponsors, and honorary guests will be featured on our Tea Giveaway Results page and in future giveaway posts. We’re actively updating and publishing the results here:

As a token of gratitude, your name will be featured as a sponsor.
For Sponsors: For us, each cup of tea costs $5, which covers:
— The actual price of tea in Pakistan
— The effort required per giveaway
— and WPKitchen’s admin overhead.
Every year, hundreds of WordCamps and meetups take place around the world. With your support, this small Tea Time acTEAvity has the potential to grow into a lasting tradition that brings the WordPress community even closer.

For Supporters: We’re actively looking for a supporter to fully support and take ownership of this campaign. Each giveaway takes about an hour of effort — roughly equivalent to a $21 task in the WordPress freelance world, according to Payoneer’s global survey. We ask for $20 in support per cup to cover the tea, coordination, and WPKitchen’s operational costs.
Every cup you support will be marked as “Supported by You” everywhere we publish — on our website, social media, and giveaway posts.
With your continued support, we aim to expand this initiative to more WordCamps around the world — starting with WordCamp Canada 2025 as our next destination. 🌎🍁
