Every great journey starts small. Long before WhatsApp groups, announcements, or agendas, it was just three people — Pomy, Adnan, and Sohail, the private guest house owner — who knew one thing for sure: developers never start with one. They start with zero. We also called it a founder’s meetup.
Decisions Behind Meet Time Zero
Zee wasn’t just about us three; it was about shaping the future of our freelancer community in Faisalabad. In that small, friendly gathering, we locked in some important decisions:
- One Goal: gather 100 freelancers every month.
- The rhythm: monthly meetups, not weekly.
- The fixed day: the second Sunday of every month.
- The format: a mini hi-tea (500 Rs.), light and simple.
- The launch: October 5th, 2025, will be our first official meetup.
- The duration: 2 hours, not 3 (to respect time as much as deadlines).
- The platform: A Meet Time WhatsApp group is created for attendees.
- The environment: No disrespect, no politics, no religious controversy
So that was Meet Time Zero — small in size but big in vision. If Zero brought us together like this, 001 will take the connections even further.
The Menu and the Schedule
One thing we agreed on at Meet Time Zero: food matters. Our meetups will feature a homemade mini hi-tea, equal to a light dinner. A platter will carry a patty burger, tikka botis, Russian fruit salad, French fries, and a cold drink — simple, satisfying, and affordable.
Here’s the schedule for our official meetups:
- 06:00 PM — Doors Open
- 06:15 PM — Round of Introductions
- 06:30 PM — Platters Will Be Served
- 07:00 PM — Tea Will Be Served
- 07:15 PM — Guest Speakers + Q&A
- 08:00 PM — Group Photo & Closing
During Meet Time Zero, the owner of the guest house — the dedicated place where freelancers will gather each month — surprised us with a demo of this mini hi-tea. The highlight? A new suggestion: French fries. Yes, they’ll be part of the platter starting from our first official meetup. Small touches, but freelancers know — fries are happiness in disguise.
Our First Sponsor
After leaving Meet Time Zero, we set our next target: find the very first sponsor.
We’re proud to announce that we did it! WPKitchen is excited to welcome Azam Ishaq, Founder of Shmai.com, as our first sponsor. 🤝
Azam is a skilled web developer and the founder of Shmai.com, a company helping businesses worldwide embrace technology and showcase their true potential. Shmai.com delivers end-to-end digital solutions — from custom software and websites to graphic design, internet marketing, and business apps — making it a one-stop destination for turning ideas into reality.
Having Shmai.com as our first supporter is both an honor and a strong start for Meet Time.
Sponsors’ Dinner — A New Tradition
But we didn’t want to stop there. If freelancers are the heartbeat of Meet Time, sponsors are its backbone. Their support makes it possible to dream bigger. That’s why we’ve dedicated a special tradition: Sponsors’ Dinner.
Every month, one or two days before the meetup, sponsors will be invited as VIP guests to a private dinner — a simple way of honoring their support and creating space for meaningful conversations.
I’m excited to share that we’ve already started monthly, self-funded Freelancers’ Meetups in Faisalabad, and our very first official one is scheduled for Sunday, 5th October 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
And before that, our first Sponsors’ Dinner is planned:
We have invited our first sponsor to a private dinner:
📅 Friday, 3rd October 2025
📍 Guest House, near Abu Bakr Mosque, Al-Masoom Town, Faisalabad
🕗 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Agenda:
- 08:00 PM — Doors Open
- 08:15 PM — Discussion
- 08:30 PM — Dinner Served

We’re inviting a few successful entrepreneurs like yourself to support us as sponsors. A contribution of PKR 10,000 or more will directly help us organize the next Freelancers’ Meetup. Full details on how sponsorship funds will be used are available here: Introducing Meet Time by WPKitchen.
If you’d like to support, please confirm by filling this short form: 👉 https://forms.gle/HK3Ym3RLkMZBDdux8
If you’re not available that day for dinner, you’re welcome to nominate someone to attend and represent you.
Your presence — and your support — will mean the world to our growing freelancer community. Together, we’re proving that big changes can start from small meetups… even from Zero.
✨ That’s Meet Time Zero: just two people, one vision, a platter, and a dream to bring freelancers together. And now, with sponsors joining hands, the journey truly begins.
