At every Tea Time by WPKitchen during WordCamps, we reserve the first honorary guest seat for Matt Mullenweg.
It is our small gesture of appreciation for one of WordPress’s co-founders. Matt’s early vision helped WordPress grow from a simple publishing tool into a global, open-source platform that enables millions of people to publish, build businesses, share ideas, and find community.
This tribute also celebrates the thousands of contributors who have shaped WordPress and continue to move it forward. WPKitchen exists because WordPress brings people together across cities, countries, and cultures, so beginning each Tea Time with this recognition feels especially meaningful.
While the honorary seat is reserved for Matt, the first cup goes to the first person to register for the giveaway. For Tea Time #03, Hamza Umer from Islamabad was first to join and has received the cup. Thank you, Hamza, for being the first to take part.
